Smith PhD Fellow needs Houston TX placement
I am a therapist at CSU Sacramento and a PhD student at Smith College SSW.
One of my colleagues at Smith has just been unexpectedly laid off from her job/field placement 3 weeks from the start of her placement. At Smith, PhD fellows do our classwork over the summer and go back to our jobs for 2x a week supervised clinical work during the fall and spring. Joy has her supervision set up already, she needs to find a new agency in Houston, TX.*
If you know of any agencies in Houston that would be interested in having a Smith doctoral student as an intern/ employee, I'd really appreciate the referral.*
Joy is very experienced in treating people with trauma, and is dedicated to Smith's anti-racism commitment. *She is an incredibly bright clinical social worker who is eager to develop a 'plan b' that allows her to continue to work on her PhD. I highly recommend her.
I'd appreciate anything you can do to help her out.*
Thank you & Take Care,*
