Statement from the ACCA Executive Council Like many national organizations, ACCA has been wrestling with planning a conference in a state that has undesirable legislation toward marginalized groups of people, and while North Carolina has since repealed the legislation, there are some states that continue to ban travel to NC. Our Executive Council has had many discussions about this and decided to stay for one reason. In the ACA Code of Ethics counselors are called to advocate for and stand with our clients. Ultimately the ACCA Executive Council, with the support of ACA, decided to stand with our college counseling colleagues and the LGBTQI+ community in North Carolina. Our conference will feature education around these issues and support of marginalized communities. Quick Links:
